Members elected Troy Brown of Kretz Lumber Company, Inc., Antigo, Wis., President of the Hardwood Manufacturers Association at their National Conference & Expo in Savannah, Ga., March 26-28.

Other HMA officers for 2008 are First Vice President: Terry Brennan, Baillie Lumber Company, Hamburg, N.Y.; Second Vice President: Pem Jenkins, Turn Bull Lumber Co., Elizabethtown, N.C. and Executive Vice President: Gil Thurm, HMA, Pittsburgh, PA.

Members also elected HMA Directors at the National Conference. They are: Jeff Manges, Cole Hardwood, Inc., Logansport, Ind.; Keith Snyder, Graham Lumber Company LLC, Linden, Tenn.; Jack Shannon, J.T. Shannon Lumber Co., Memphis, Tenn.; Alan Kitchens, Kitchens Brothers Manufacturing, Inc., Hazlehurst, Miss.; Nancy Arend, Northwest Hardwoods, A Weyerhaeuser Business, Federal Way, Wash.; Luke Brogger,. Quality Hardwoods, Sunfield, Mich.; Ryan Harrell, Suffolk Forest Products, Suffolk, Va.; John Jones, Ward Timber, Ltd, Linden, Tex.; and Skipper Beal, Beal Lumber Co., Inc., Little Mountain, S.C.

The Hardwood Manufacturers Association is the largest national trade organization with membership limited to U.S. hardwood lumber producers and processors. HMA conducts a nationwide program to educate consumers about the lasting value of American hardwood furniture, flooring, cabinetry and millwork.
