COOK-A-PA-LOOZA 2008 Print E-mail

The Wellness Committee at Kretz Lumber Co., Inc. challenged fellow employee-owners to an “Eat Healthy” cook-off to be held in conjunction with the spring employee meeting on May 5th.  Employees submitted their favorite recipes, some healthy, some not so healthy, to be judged by the guest speaker Bonnie Hessedal, a certified dietician and head of food services for Langlade Memorial Hospital.  Bonnie chose Sunday Hasse’s fruit & nut bread as the winner of the “Healthy Choice” trophy.

 

Several people also brought samples of their favorite dishes to be shared and judged by fellow-employees.  Jackie Fondow was awarded the “Peoples Choice” trophy for her Cheesy Potato dish.  Along with their trophies, Sunday and Jackie were also presented with gift certificates from Natural Living food store in Antigo.  Runners-up in the “Peoples Choice” category were Russell Leach’s venison chili, Ken Heis’ amaretto cheese cake, and Sunday’s fruit and nut bread; they were awarded Kretz Lumber cutting boards for their culinary skills.
