State Secretary of Commerce Meets with Kretz Lumber

On Friday, State Secretary of Commerce, Jack L. Fischer, made a visit to Kretz Lumber Co., Inc.  The Secretary was making a tour around the state during the week and his visit was arranged as part of a follow-up of a State of Wisconsin trade mission in which Mr. Fischer was accompanied to the United Kingdom by John Konkel and Troy Brown from Kretz Lumber, in March of this year.

During his visit to Kretz Lumber, the Secretary was introduced to members of the Kretz staff by Brown and shown the yard and manufacturing areas.

As a part of his visit Secretary Fischer offered advice and assistance to Tim Kassis, Kretz's Sales Manager and Mike Kretz the Transportation Manager for the company.  Among the topics of discussion with the two managers were opportunities and challenges in the International market place along with distribution of products to these markets.
